The Rose Garden is no longer be sponsored by the Bolton Hospice.

Spoke of "problems of vandalism and neglect" which have led to a decision to relocate this memorial garden to Mere Hall.
In fact, when this story was first published some time ago, Friends of Queens Park approached the council and offered to look after the rose garden.
In the past some dedicated volunteers have been out many a Sunday morning clearing away weeds so that the beautiful rose bushes planted in memory of loved ones could be seen at their best.
Bolton Council, have now taken over the maintenance Of the Rose Garden.
The diameter of the Rose Garden has been reduced so as to make the maintenance by the council’s full time gardener easier to do.
We are pleased to tell you that no further vandalism seems to have occurred, perhaps because the garden is now being regularly maintained.
